Rydes is a collective University-College project that started as part of our ‘Advanced Web Development’ course. The goal of our project was to create a mobile application that allows users to find carpooling partners. The application allowed users to enter a start & end point, and it would return a list of users who are making a similar ride.

Challenges

Because Rydes was an application that used geodata as starting and ending points, the main challenge was to use that geodata in the correct manner and retrieve similar routes of other users within a desired range of that starting or ending point.
